I'm Will Jones and I'm running for Executive Vice-President of Local 36 because I believe that everyone deserves to be represented, and every voice deserves to be heard.
For me, this isn't just a position to be obtained. It's a passion I'm pursuing because I know exactly how it feels to be underrepresented and unheard.
I've been on the job for 6 years, and served all of them at one of the busiest firehouses in the city Engine 30, Truck 17. While there, I've experienced what it's like to run nonstop medical locals, fire alarms, lift assists and the occasional real fire while feeling that upper management AND our union reps are disconnected from the realities of what we experience and need to do our jobs effectively.
If elected, I commit to listening to and standing for the needs of all members - not just the favored few. Regardless of rank, race, or religion, or age, gender, sexual orientation or disability - all members should feel they have an advocate and ally at Local 36.

I commit to bringing a perspective, voice and working for change not to benefit bureaucrats in an office, but to support those of us working 24 hour shifts, sometimes with sleepless nights serving the city.
